Havana Cuban Dance Residency & Performances
Our work with Marcos Ravelo and Havana Cuban Dance Studio, concluded through our amazing student performances. Thank you to School Council & Parents Association, for supporting the opportunity to allow student to experience the world of Latin dance. From the rhythmic steps of Salsa and Merengue to the expressive movements of Flamenco, Cha Cha, and Reggaeton, students had an exceptional performance, lead by the nurturing hands of Marcos and his assistant, Nichole. We recognize that some students who were observing Ramadan could not participate today due to scheduling conflicts and appreciate your understanding.
March Parent Teacher Conferences
School Conference meetings are a key component of our reporting process to parents/guardians. The January Report Card was an opportunity for parents and guardians to receive graded information about their child in relation to the program of studies at the end of Term 1 and is available on PowerSchool. The March conference is an opportunity for teachers to share learning progress with families and highlight key next steps in the learning progression for the remainder of Term 2. Parents and guardians can book their 15-minute conference time on-line using their MyCBE account. Conferences are scheduled for Thursday March 20th from 4:30PM to 8:00PM, and Friday March 21st from 8:00AM to 12PM. Conferences will be online or by telephone. Once the conference is booked, parents and guardians should receive an email confirming the scheduled interview time. Please note that if you select the option for a conference through telephone, you may receive a call from a “blocked” or unknown number around that time. Please contact the school if you are having any difficulties with bookings.
Spring Concert – Save the Date
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Spring Concerts in April! All students in grades 1, 2 and 3 have been working hard in music classes to prepare performances for you to enjoy. The dress rehearsal will be on Thursday April 10th at 2:15 pm, where students will perform for the older grades and there will be chairs for families to come watch if they wish. The following day we will have a concert showing just for families on Friday April 11th at 9:30 am.
Please mark these dates on your calendar. If your child is in grades 1, 2 or 3, and will not be in attendance on April 10th and 11th, please let Mrs. Tran (lmtran@cbe.ab.ca) know as soon as possible. Thank you! We are so excited to share our music with you!
Olympic Heights Modular Removal and Relocation Project

2024 Olympic Heights School Food Bank Drive - Results
Our 2024 Olympic Heights School Food Bank Drive was a huge success! Our holiday food drive collected 1220 pounds of food! Thank you for your generous support in supporting families that require food support across the city.
