Seasons Greetings – Winter Break

As a reminder Calgary Board of Education Winter Break will run from December 20 to January 4, with classes resuming on Monday, January 5, 2025. To help ensure a smooth transition into the break and a positive return in January, we kindly ask that families remind students to bring home all personal belongings before the last day of school. This includes water bottles, lunch kits, accessories, and any extra clothing that may be stored at school. While the winter break is a time to rest and recharge, it also offers wonderful opportunities for continued learning in everyday ways. Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We wish you and your family a joyful, safe, and restful winter break!

Spirit Week

A heartfelt thank you to our School Wellness Action Team for filling Olympic Heights with festive joy! Their leadership brought the season to life through spirited theme days, cheerful music, and acts of kindness that brightened our halls. Students embraced the fun by sporting festive sweaters and headwear, dressing up as winter characters, showing off AMAZING hair, and ending the week cozy and comfortable in their pajamas. Our gym was transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland, featuring engaging activities and an impressive light show. It was a delight to see so many smiling and laughing students—even as winter weather reminded us of the season outside. Thank you to Mrs. Burch and all staff who supported the organization and helped make this joyful week possible!

Food Drive a Huge Success 

Way to go, Olympic Heights! Together, our school community collected an incredible amount of canned and boxed goods—filling six full boxes! Heartfelt thanks to our staff, students, parents, families, and community members who stepped up to support others during this season of giving. The spirit of generosity is truly alive and well at OHS—thank you all!
