2026-2027 School Bell Times
Please note our school hours for the 2026–2027 school year. For students in Grades 1–6, the school day will run from 9:00 AM to 3:34 PM, Monday through Thursday, with early dismissal Fridays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Kindergarten programming will operate Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:14 PM. There will be no Kindergarten on Fridays.
Help Shape the Future of Our Playground
The Olympic Heights Parents Association is seeking input from families, teachers, staff, and community members as we move forward with plans to revitalize our school playground. The project includes accessible rubber surfacing, a new main play structure, replacement of the spinning "witch's hat," and the retention of existing favourites such as the rope climbing structure, swings, and Supernova spinner. Feedback on accessibility, play experiences, and community use will help guide the final design and support future fundraising and grant applications, and we will also gather student input to ensure the space reflects the needs and interests of those who use it every day. Library Book Bonanza
Our “Book Bonanza” continues near the plaza glass wall. Parents, students and staff are invited to take and keep books on display that have been retired from our library. We’ll keep this display up for the last few weeks of school. There will be lots to chose from, including picture books, novels and some non-fiction.
School Yearbook
This is your last chance to place an order for the 2025–2026 OHS yearbook—a wonderful way to preserve your child’s school memories. To order, please visit ybpay.lifetouch.ca and use the code 14310926. Orders are due by June 26, 2026, and unfortunately, late orders cannot be accepted. Yearbooks will be distributed to students in the fall (late September or early October) at OHS and will be forwarded to our 2025–2026 Grade 6 students who have moved on to Vincent Massey. Outstanding Fees Reminder
This is a friendly reminder that some families currently have outstanding fees on their child’s school account. Most school-based fees are related to field trips, which operate on a cost-recovery basis to cover expenses such as transportation and service provider fees. Unpaid fees can significantly impact the programs and resources available at our school, including student technology, art supplies, library materials, and other learning supports. For your convenience, payments can be made online using credit or debit through your MyCBE account. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the main office.
