As we close another school year at Olympic Heights, I’ve been reflecting on a simple but powerful idea that has guided much of our work together: I am connected.

Connection shows up in so many ways in a school community. It’s in the relationships between students and staff, in the partnerships we build with families, and in the sense of belonging we work hard to foster for every child. This year, I saw that connection in classrooms where students supported one another with kindness, on the playground where friendships grew through play, and in the many moments when staff went above and beyond to ensure every student felt seen, valued, and safe.

I am deeply grateful for the care and commitment of our incredible staff, who show up every day with professionalism, heart, and a belief in what our students can achieve. I am grateful to our families for your trust, your support, and the way you stay engaged in your child’s learning. And most importantly, I am grateful to our students, who bring energy, curiosity, and joy into our building each and every day.

When we say “I am connected,” it reminds us that none of us does this work alone. We succeed because we support one another, learn from one another, and celebrate together. That sense of connection is what makes Olympic Heights such a special place.

Thank you for being an important part of our community.

Wishing everyone a safe and adventurous summer.
