Special Event – Calgary Opera Little Red Riding Hood

Students from Olympic Heights School had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a special presentation of the Calgary Opera’s rendition of Little Red Riding Hood. The performance brought the classic tale to life through engaging music, expressive storytelling, and lively characters. Our students were captivated by the artistry of the performers and inspired by the magic of the live musical performance. It was a memorable cultural experience that enriched their appreciation for the performing arts and highlighted the joy of creative expression.

Conferences

As a reminder, School conferences will occur on the evening of Thursday March 19th, and the morning of Friday March 20th.  Conference will be student led, with 45-minute blocks.  More information, including a  link to the school conference booking system will be made available next week. A reminder, families can view report cards online for first term of the 2025-26 school year through MyCBE.

Countdown to Scholastic Book Fair/Volunteers Needed

Our upcoming book fair will take place during family conferences on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20. There’ll be hundreds of books available for purchase…just in time for some extra reading over spring break. We need a few more volunteers to help out – a couple of people for the Thursday shifts from 4 – 6 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m., plus one person for the Friday shift (8:15 – 10:30 a.m.) If you’re available and have a current volunteer clearance, please email our library assistant Mrs. Sjogren (gesjogren@cbe.ab.ca) by Wednesday, March 11.  Thanks!
